Most English-language sites about Japanese knives, ceramics, fountain pens, the language, or travel are written from the outside looking in. I'm on the inside. I read the kilns', makers', and brands' own Japanese-language pages, I've used a lot of this in daily life, and I translate that into plain, honest buying advice for readers in the US, UK, Australia, and Canada.
